A famous thriller from the silver screen will be reborn on stage this week, packed with action, drama and laughs.

Alfred Hitchcock’s classic film North By Northwest has been re-imagined as a stage show, and will feature at Bath’s Theatre Royal, in Sawclose, until August 12.

The espionage film is renowned for its epic chase scenes, including an iconic close shave with a crop-dusting plane and a heart-thumping climb across the faces of Mount Rushmore.

A combination of green screen, video projection, scale models and savvy direction means the play encapsulates the tension, thrills and spills of one of Hitchcock’s finest films.

There will be daily 7.30pm performances of the show, with the exception of Sunday, while there will be matinees at 2.30pm on the Thursdays and Saturdays.

* Tickets, priced £15-37.50, are available from 01225 448844 or www.theatreroyal.org.uk
