THE famous pantomime Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs will be brought to life on stage at the Bath Theatre Royal this Christmas.

Olivier Award-winning star of stage and screen Nichola McAuliffe will play the Wicked Queen, alongside leading Dame Chris Harris, as the famous fairytale returns to the venue for the first time in 20 years.

The cast will also feature Bath’s own Jon Monie as Muddles when the classic story is staged for only the second time ever in the Theatre Royal’s illustrious pantomime history, from December 13 to January 13.

Multi award-winning actress Nichola McAuliffe brings a wealth of experience to the role of Wicked Queen.

Not only has she starred as the evil Baroness Bomburst in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in the West End, a role for which she was Olivier-nominated, she also won the Olivier Award for Outstanding Performance of the Year by an actress in a musical for her lead role as Kate in the RSC’s West End production of Kiss Me Kate.

On television, she starred as surgeon Sheila Sabatini in seven series of the popular sitcom Surgical Spirit, played Anita in Coronation Street and appeared in guest roles in My Family, Holby City and Doctor Who.

The role of Snow White will be played by Laura Clements, who delighted Bath audiences last year when she appeared as Alice Fitzwarren in Dick Whittington and Ben Harlow plays the role of the Prince.

His many stage credits include the role of Gaston in the international tour of Beauty and the Beast, which visited Bath in 2009, he appeared as the Butler in the West End production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, a role he reprised in Bath in 2000 and performed in the original international stage tour of Mamma Mia!.
