PUBLISHED: 20:00 24 October 2017
A World War Two swing dance will be held in Clevedon next month in support of the Dig For Victory Show.
Princes Hall, in Princes Road, will be decked out in 1940s decorations for the event on November 25, starting at 7.30pm.
Live music including wartime and Christmas hits will be provided by Five Star Swing, a popular five-piece band who have previously performed at the Leicester Square Theatre in the West End.
The evening will also include a lesson from Swing Dance Bristol’s professional members and a bar will be open throughout.
A spokesman for the show said: “The Dig For Victory Show is run by volunteers and is enormously proud to have raised £16,000 for the charity over the past four years.
“The team is delighted to announce that the 2018 show will be supporting Combat Stress and the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity (GWAAC).”

Next year’s Dig For Victory Show will be held at the North Somerset Showground in Wraxall on June 9 and 10.
The event features military vehicles, classic cars and a traditional fun fair – all with a distinct 1940s feel.
There will also be a marquee, and a series of displays and parades while visitors can take part in sing-alongs and a victory dance. Live music performances from the likes of John Prescott, Lucy Moon and The Dixie Belles will entertain crowds over the course of the weekend.
Tickets for next month’s dance, priced £10, are available here or Shopland Sawmills in Old Street.
The Dig For Victory Show has teamed up with the Times to offer two pairs of tickets to the swing dance.
