The Theatre Shop in Clevedon is gearing up for a smoking evening of jazz.

The Blazing Flame Quintet is performing at the venue, in Queens Square, on January 19 at 8pm.

The Theatre Shop will become a downtown jazz club for the gig, which is guaranteed to attract music fans from across Somerset.

Audiences can catch the band, which has been gaining ‘mindblowing’ reviews for one night only.

The highly accomplished quintent has toured Europe, most recently packing out London’s acclaimed venue The Vortex.

Sax player Mark Langford will sweep audiences away with his improvised tones.

The band also includes Steve Day, Peter Evans, Anton Henley and Julian Dale who use jazz improvisation to interpret the songs written by Steve Day.

Tickets, priced £11, are available from www.theatreshop.org.uk/blazing-flame-quintet
