The world of vintage rock ‘n’ roll is coming to the West Country.

The Americans will perform in Bristol next month and they promise to bring the magic of the likes of Bruce Springsteen, Chuck Berry and the late Tom Petty to the city.

The group’s rise is in part thanks to their appearance in a BBC and PBS documentary, called American Epic, which was aired earlier this year.

The Americans were able to see what it was like to use recording equipment from the 1920s and they have since capitalised on their 15 minutes of fame.

Frontman Patrick Ferris, bassist Jake Faulkner and lead guitarist Zac Sokolow will be on stage of the Louisiana on November 6.

The gig will get underway at 7.30pm.

Entry is available to over-16s only and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Tickets, priced £9, are available at www.thelouisiana.net/events
