A Portishead-based band will perform a concert in Bristol to raise money for Penny Brohn UK.
Ukulele Funhouse Orchestra will play at Newman Hall in Henleaze at 7.30pm on Saturday.
The 16-piece band will perform Grandad’s Army – a look back at the volunteer Home Guard – to raise money for Penny Brohn UK after it supported fellow member Sarah following her cancer diagnosis.
Steve Pearson, musical dictator, said: “Sarah is a keen Penny Brohn supporter and asked me if we could do a fundraiser.
“We all got behind it straight away because everyone knows someone touched by cancer – my brother sadly died last year.
“It seems right that our pleasure in playing should produce something positive for charity.
“The show is varied and will impress.
“The encore, Status Quo’s Rocking All Over The World, will bring the house down so grab a ticket today.”
Tickets, priced £10, are available from 01275 370076, email@example.com or www.pennybrohn.org.uk
