Burlesque will meet the great Berlin cabaret scene at Speakeasy Jazz Club’s next music night.

The monthly jazz nights, held at Clarence House, will see the Moscow Drug Club arrive in Portishead at the end of April.

Their arrival in North Somerset represents something of a coup, with the Colston Hall in Bristol and London’s Royal Albert Hall among the venues they have performed in over the years.

The night promises to be a throwback to the 1930s and 40s with captivating tunes from the period played live.

The Moscow Drug Club are experienced performers, having played at jazz festivals in Birmingham, London and Marlborough.

They will roll into town on April 27.

Doors to the High Street venue will open at 7.30pm, with the show at 8.30pm.

Tickets, priced £14, can be bought on the night or reserved from Kate Sheridan on 01275 848391 or at
