Jazz vocalist Mama Aydenne will be this month’s star-turn for Speakeasy Jazz Club.

The London singer has a wealth of experience having played at some of the capital’s top entertainment venues and performed at events such as the Isle of Wight Jazz Festival in years gone by.

Kate Sheridan, who organises Speakeasy’s events, said: “Mama Aydenne is unique, passionate, hot and sassy.

“She will pay tribute to Sarah Vaughan, better known as The Divine One. Like Sarah, her voice is rich and lustrous, a vocal powerhouse with the most tremendous range which haunts your soul.

“Prepare to be blown away. It is a show not to be missed.”

Aydenne will be at Clarence House in Portishead High Street
at 8.30pm on April 28.

Tickets, priced £10, can be
reserved on 01275 848391 or bought on the door.
