A youth brass group will celebrate its 10th birthday with a celebratory concert.

The Lions Brass 4 Youth group, from Clevedon, will host the birthday party at Weston’s Playhouse Theatre, in High Street.

Back in the autumn of 2007 there were 24 players who formed the youth band. Since then it has grown with more than 100 players from beginners through to grade eight and above.

The group play everything from traditional brass music through the decades to some popular modern pieces written just for the band.

They play across the country and have recently returned from a trip to Truro in Cornwall.

The show, which will be on June 30 at 7pm, will have something for everyone and will feature former band members.

Tickets, priced £3-7, are available from or from 01934 645544.
