Comedian John Bishop’s new tour will feature a stop off in Bristol.

The Liverpudlian is a regular on television panel shows but made his name in stand-up comedy.

His fifth and latest UK tour, Winging It, comes after several years away from the comedy circuit and he is looking forward to visiting theatres such as the Bristol Hippodrome again.

He said: “When I start this new tour, it will be three years since my last live show Supersonic, which is the longest break I’ve ever had.

“I’m very much looking forward to getting back on the road – there really is nothing like performing stand-up in front of a live audience.

“The new show is called Winging It, and in some respects having come to comedy relatively late, it sometimes feels like that’s what I’m doing in life.”

Bishop will be at the Hippodrome on September 11 at 8pm.

* Tickets, priced £33.65, are available at www.atgtickets.com or on 08448 717627.
