The Curzon Community Cinema ran an audience survey as part of its centenary celebrations in the hope of screening some of the films during 2012.

The first of these will be The Rocky Horror Picture Show (12A), which was placed at number 20 following the survey.

The 1975 film adaptation of the British rock musical stage play, The Rocky Horror Show, written by Richard O’Brien, will be screened at 10.15pm on Saturday.

It follows the story of a young couple, Brad and Janet, who fall foul of the bizarre Dr Frank-N-Furter.

The film features Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon and Barry Bostwick along with cast members from the original Kings Road production presented at the Royal Court Theatre, London, in 1973.

The second film to be shown as part of the centenary celebrations will be Some Like It Hot (U) on March 3 at 2pm.

The 1959 movie, starring Marilyn Monroe, Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon, was voted in at number three.

Musicians Joe and Jerry witness a gangland shooting and are forced to disguise themselves as Josephine and Daphne, the newest members of an all-girl jazz band, to save them from repercussions.

Their cover seems perfect until a lovelorn singer falls for Josephine and an ancient playboy falls for Daphne, and a mob boss, who refuses to fall for their hoax, wants them put on ice for good.
