ZIMMERS moved to the top of the Wrington Vale Billiards League after their 3-1 win over Backwell B, helped by Social Climbers losing their top v bottom clash with Congresbury.

In the match between Backwell A and No Hopers, a strong finish by Martyn Howell helped Backwell to a 3-1 victory.

In the individual cannons semi-final, 
Tina Owen-Sevilton beat Alan Spear 150-108.
