A wheelchair basketball club based in Portishead is looking for new players and local support.
The South West’s very own children’s wheelchair basketball club are beginning their new season in Portishead.
The small club has recently seen a change in management and are looking to grow with new players and local support. New head coach Simeon Wakely brings many years of experience both playing and coaching and is enthusiastic about a fantastic year ahead.
Would your child like to give it a go? Anyone can join the friendly and inclusive team. The club has members aged between six and 16-years-old and are a mixture of children with and without disabilities.
The club trains at Gordano School on Sunday mornings. Members are provided with basketball style sports wheelchairs for the sessions.
Would any local businesses like to support the club? Keeping the wheelchair basketball club going isn’t cheap and we are looking for new sponsors to help ensure the club can continue.
Please contact the club at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and ways you can help.
