North Somerset Tennis Academy members took part in a junior tournament, with 68 taking part in this year’s event.

A fantastic day was enjoyed at the North Somerset Tennis Academy junior tournament, with 68 academy players took part in this year’s event.

This was a real celebration of tennis, great to see so many children playing and enjoying their tennis. The finals were played to a fine standard, great sportsmanship and were extremely close.

Winners as follows - Red: Hugo Van Marle; Orange: Hugo Van Marle; Green: Jack Matthews; Yellow: Eddie Wilkinson (pictured); Performance: Josh Bryant.

Thanks go to all the parents for their support and a big thank you to Brunel Engraving Company, HEAD Tennis and Clevedon Town Council for their continued support of grassroots tennis.

The academy still has places available for next week’s half-term camp, 9am-1pm, and players will receive a brand new racket, tennis balls and a personalised t-shirt all for just £25.

Camp days are between October 31 to November 2. All standards welcome from four to 16 years old. Single sessions are available at £10 per day.
