Clevedon Feathers Junior Badminton Club put out an Under-10s side for the first time against Uphill.

Harry (10), Georgia (9) Eve (8) and Paige (8) all played extremely well and had some young and friendly competitors.

Uphill went 8-6 up after the singles, but Clevedon stormed ahead in the doubles 24-12 to win the match overall 30-20. It was Paige’s first-ever match and she won an incredible 10 out of her 12 games.

Coach Nicola Wall said: “I felt very proud of all of them, including the Uphill players, some of them are very young, but all of them dealt with a win or a defeat in a really good way and most importantly they were all smiling and had great fun.”
