Pat and Linda Foley from Portishead Running Club took part in the two gruelling races in Tenerife.

Portishead Running Club members have been taking to the trails over the past few weeks.

Pat and Linda Foley took on the technical and gruelling trails of Tenerife, the former for the 41-mile ultra, the latter for the marathon. Pat crossed the line in 10.48 and Linda in 7.48 – with Pat’s three-hour head-start meaning they did so together.

Jane Roscoe and Matt Palmer took to the Beachy Head Marathon, with Palmer crossing the line in Eastbourne in 4.41 to claim 32nd place and Roscoe 10th female in 4.51.

Finally, Richard Nuell took part in the Clevedon Swimrun, stopping the clock after 1.16, before running the Chippenham Longest Day 10k three days later in 1.13.
