A fourth family tour in Devon was enjoyed by Yatton Under-13s and their families.

Yatton Under-13s completed their season with its fourth family tour, this time in Devon.

Saturday was beach sports and barbecue with the lads narrowly losing the world beach rounders championships to Sidmouth by a single point.

The following day saw an exciting three-way match. The team showed courage, resilience and team spirit and everyone left with smiles and great memories.

Coach John O’Connor said: “We’re welcoming new players this season of any ability and experience and encourage them to get in contact. We’re lucky to have a brilliant group of players, they enjoy training and playing together as well as other team social events.

“But it’s not all about the rugby. We try to create a positive environment and team ethos which promotes good character, every player is unique and has something to give the team.

“We want to see them develop as individuals and take responsibility for their learning, it’s their team. Along the way we’ll play some exciting creative rugby together.”
