Gordano returned from the long trip to Minehead with an excellent victory.

Gordano took the long trip to Minehead with high hopes of continuing their fine form and returned with a 41-10 victory.

Minehead started strongly with a big crowd behind them, but strong tackling kept the hosts out and Gordano were finding holes in the Minehead defence.

Gordano broke the deadlock when Ben Clark noticed a defensive error at the scrum to break through and score under the posts, converted by Hodge. Gordano finished the half strongly and added to their score with a try by Jack Hendy in the corner.

The visitors started the second half strongly with great linking between backs and forwards and it was not long until they got the four-try bonus point after two quick tries by Jack Thomas

Gordano scored another try though Joe Rowsell, but after that Minehead came back strongly and scored two tries of their own. Gordano finished strongly and Rowsell scored another two tries, both converted by Hodge.

This was a great result at a place which is normally hard to score points. The Mark’s Barbers man of the match was Joe Rowsell. Gordano are back at home on Saturday when they take on Old Reds (2.30pm).
