Portishead Tennis Club held a successful She Rallies event, with women of all ages attending.

The inaugural Portishead Lawn Tennis Club She Rallies event was a great success with girls and women of all ages attending from youngsters through to mothers, daughters and friends etc.

Many mums said they will bring their own daughters next time - three generations of tennis players on court. She Rallies is for girls of all ages and abilities.

It was started by Judy Murray and helps train local activators to redress the imbalance of 10 men to one woman playing on court and to keep all women fit and healthy.

The weather was hot so the water balloons went down very well and all skills/ games were tried by all, cakes were on hand for more energy, and all donations went to Breast Cancer Research.

The next She Rallies event will be 5-6.30pm on October 6. Girls of all ages and abilities are welcome so get your aunt, niece, cousin, mum friend and see you there.

No equipment is required and you don’t need to be a tennis club member.

If you are interested in membership - pop down to the club one evening/ weekend to see what’s available. Also you can go online to book a place on our next She Rallies event, see clubspark.co.uk/pltc
