Portishead Sailing Club members have been enjoying the summer with many outings.

The fantastic weather has meant there has been some really good sailing at Portishead Yacht and Sailing Club (PYSC), as well as the usual sailing off Portishead.

Members have ventured further afield, one trip was to the middle ground sands, the other to Shirehampton for a barbecue, on both occasions more than 20 have taken part, for many it was their first experience of a longer distance sail.

Safety is a high priority before any of these events, all those taking part are briefed as to what to expect and experienced sailors are teamed up with less experienced, and everyone came back with a real sense of achievement and a big smile.
