North Somerset Hockey Club has received a donation from homebuilder Taylor Wimpey Bristol to help with the junior section.

North Somerset Hockey Club has scored a £300 donation towards essential protective gear for its junior teams.

The generous contribution was made by homebuilder Taylor Wimpey Bristol, whose Harbour Edge development is just a short distance away.

Lee Chambers, lecturer of sport at the club, said: “We’re thrilled to receive such an amazing cash donation from Taylor Wimpey.

“It’s lovely to see such a large and well-known company give back to causes close to its developments – this money will make a big difference by enabling us to provide our young members with the very best protective equipment.”

Charlie Joseph, sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Bristol, adds: “It’s always nice to give back to those causes close to the hearts of the communities in which we build.”

Lee concludes: “From everyone at the club we would like to send a massive thank you to the team at Taylor Wimpey.”
