North Somerset Tennis Academy is promoting Tennis for Kids at its Clevedon seafront courts next month.

Tennis for Kids was launched in 2016 following Great Britain’s historic 2015 Davis Cup victory to inspire the next generation to play. It proved such a hit that by the end of the year, 13,200 new children were introduced to tennis.

Last year a further 22,500 new children signed up which means in the last two years, more than 35,000 children have been given the opportunity to pick up a racket and have fun on the court.

Now in its third year, Tennis for Kids is going bigger and better with an aim to introduce even more children to the sport.

This year, North Somerset Tennis Academy will be running Tennis for Kids for four to 11-year-olds. The cost of the course is £25 and includes six coaching sessions, a brand-new racket, ball set and a personalized tennis shirt all delivered free to your door.

Head coach Stuart Bannerman, who has been part of the LTA campaign since 2016 is delighted to have been selected to be one of the national coaches.

Stuart said this is such great honour to be part of this, having this opportunity to provide Tennis for Kids to the local community is very much part of what North Somerset Tennis Academy foundation was built on.

NSTA will be running three six-week courses starting in April, starting on the 21st (1.30-2.30pm), 22nd (9.30-10.30am) and 24th (4-5pm), all at the Clevedon seafront tennis courts. Places are limited, so please book early.

To register your interest or to book your child’s place, please contact Stuart at stuart@n-somersettnnis.com or call 07593 456869.

The academy still has places available for the half-term Easter camps - see our Facebook page for more details.
