Clevedon Athletic Club members braved the winter wind as they ran three laps of the promenade at the Burnham 5k.

There was no shelter from the winter wind as Clevedon Athletic Club members completed three laps of the promenade as part of the Burnham 5k event.

This did not stop them running some great times though. Congratulations go to Steve Wood who finished in second place in 18.14, followed by Gary Lewis in eighth place in 19.14.

Next home for Clevedon was Tom Abrahams in 19.46, Jason Moss in 20.36, Nigel Charman in 20.39 and Simon Hawkes. Well done to Jemma Lewis for her personal best performance, finishing in 21.46.

Sadly, the wintery weather at the weekend meant the third race in the Gloucester Cross Country league was cancelled.

If you want to join in with the success of Clevedon Athletic Club, please come along to a training session, full details on the website.

Also on the website are details and entry forms for the 41st Clevedon Athletic Club Boxing Day four-mile road race and 3k junior race. Please note that postal entries must be received by December 15, however you will still be able to enter online and on the day.
