Nailsea Tennis Club has arranged a selection of special events throughout the year as part of its 50th anniversary celebrations.

Nailsea Tennis Club is preparing to celebrate its 50th anniversary with a selection of special events throughout this year.

The three courts were opened for the first time in 1968 and with the later addition of floodlights and an all-weather Astro-turf surface, the facilities now rank among the best in North Somerset.

The celebration will commence during the Great British tennis weekend on May 13 and other events planned include an exhibition of old photographs.

So we are calling on all members, past and present, to rummage through their albums and attics to provide enough photos to go on display.

The club is also organising a special afternoon of tennis followed by an evening buffet on September 15.

The club is based at Mizzymead Recreation Centre, Mizzymead Rise, Nailsea, BS48 2JS, which also has extensive free parking, a viewing terrace and a popular picnic area.

Anyone who would like to join the club or need further information should contact 07527 104046 nltc.enquiries@gmail.co or the Nailsea Tennis Club website.
