Nailsea Table Tennis Club continues to grow and rounded off a successful season with its annual meeting.

Nailsea Table Tennis Club rounded off its season with another successful annual meeting at their base, the Grove Sport Centre and Social Club.

Chairman Shaun Fitzpatrick thanked the club officers, volunteers and players for contributing to another great season. He also thanked the Grove for their continued support and facilities use, two match rooms and practice hall for five tables, along with the bar in the social area.

A minute’s silence was held for members who had passed on, in particular John Reynolds, a club and league stalwart, fondly remembered for his wit and wisdom.

Off the table, the club retained a sound financial position despite investment in a new robot, a table and nets. The club has grown due to Monday and Tuesday practice nights, Thursday lunchtime leisure play and junior coaching on Saturday mornings.

This year the club has developed its own Facebook page and all results are now posted (as with all Bristol League results) on the tt365 website.

As to the playing season, it was a mixed bag of results with many players covering for holiday absentees. Unfortunately, there were no cup successes in either the winter or summer leagues. Below are the end of season results, the % sign denotes win rate:
