Two SenShinRyu Karate Association members competed in the KSE Karate competition in Gloucestershire.

SenShinRyu Karate Association members Joe Hicks (Portishead) and Mike O’Sullivan (Clevedon) travelled to Gloucestershire to compete in the prestigious 2017 KSE Karate competition.

The event was frequented by many international fighters using the venue as a warm-up for the English Karate Federation Nationals at Sheffield at the end of March in preparation for the 2020 Olympics in Japan.

Unfortunately, Joe was outgunned by the eventual winner of the heavyweights, but fortunately Mike went on to take third place bronze in the reputable open weight category.

Both came away gaining a considerable amount of knowledge and experience.

Senshinryu Karate Association welcomes old and new members at all of their clubs. Please contact Peter Dennis 9th Dan at senshinryu@hotmail.com or ring 07939 071122.
