Marco Constanza, a 14-year-old Gordano School student has recently won the men’s cadet title at Lilleshall.

He trains as an athlete with Archery GB National Age Group Academy based at Lilleshall Hall National Sports Centre, where he attends monthly residential camps. He is also a member of Cleve Archery Club. Marco has won many titles and set new records throughout this year’s outdoor season.

In the Archery GB National Tour final at Lilleshall, he had to make through qualifying stages at Lilleshall, Evesham, Surrey and Oxford in a bid to make it back to the spectacular backdrop of the orangery at Lilleshall for the final.

Marco beat much older and experienced archers to take gold, winning the match in a shoot-off. His opponent hit the nine, but Marco’s arrow was nine-starred, giving him the title.

Marco’s aspiration is to join the Olympic team and winning this title will help him to get nearer to achieving his dream.
