Nailsea Ladies 2nd XI defeated Minehead 5-2 in a top of the table clash.
NAILSEA started well and took the initiative in this top of the table clash, Cath Hole setting up Jess Atkinson for the first goal.
Within minutes, more good play by Hole saw Atkinson score again to put the home side two ahead. Jayne Craig in the Nailsea goal was called into action and in defence, Zoe Buck and Zoe Roberts worked well. However, Minehead pulled a goal back.
After the break Jen Atherton forced numerous errors from the visitors. Good play from Hole saw Alice Keyworth score the next goal.
Jo battled well at centre half, as did Kim Thomas, whose work rate was excellent. Helen Harrington defended well and consistently managed to find player of the match Keyworth. Atkinson combined well with Hole, who hunted banged home number four.
When Minehead did manage to break, Zoe Roberts timed her tackles well and was backed up by keeper Craig, who saved well from numerous penalty corners. A determined Hole shrugged of several challenges to fire home the fifth goal.
Danni Douel responded well to 
sideline coaching as did Gee Corner in midfield. Despite valiant defending from Buck, the away team were gifted a penalty corner to make the final score 5-2 to Nailsea.
