Around a dozen ladies graduated in an another instalment of the NHS Couch to 5k programme run by Portishead RUnning Club.

Portishead Running Club has recently run another instalment of the NHS Couch to 5k programme.

Completed by around 50 ladies, around a dozen graduated at the Burnham parkrun, with more to follow this Saturday.

Saturday also saw Linda Foley and Jane Roscoe tackle the 20:20 Fission races in Gloucestershire. Linda’s 1.40 earnt her fourth place in the 20km race, with Jane 28th woman in the 20-mile event in 2.47.

At Sunday’s Bath Half, Giacomo Squintani shaved two minutes off his half marathon PB, crossing the line in 1.25.58. The club was also represented by Andrew Clare and Laura Martini, who clocked times of 2.30.49 and 2.32.40 respectively, with local runner Jonathan Wallington crushing his PB with 1.36.05.

The nights are getting lighter - why not try a friendly club session? Join us on Tuesday evenings as we head out from The Hutch (opposite the Open Air Swimming Pool) at 7pm. You might just enjoy it.
