Giorgio Vills took the gold medal at the Nottingham Open Brazilian Jiu Jitzu competition, winning by a submission.

Trinity Primary School pupil Giorgio Villis, attended the Nottingham Open Brazilian Jiu Jitsu competition and came away with the gold medal.

Giorgio had received a knock in the warm-up prior to his fight, but was adamant to continue with the competition. He competed against a much larger boy, defeating him by submission, with expert technique, to win the gold.

Throughout the past six months Giorgio has received in depth training in Walsall, in preparation for the European Championships and in recent weeks had increased intensity.

The Nottingham Open was a practice run for his game plan for the Europeans and his excellent result has boosted his motivation.

Following the competition, Giorgio was lucky enough to receive ongoing treatment from his local sponsors Moosehall Chiropractic and Wellness to ensure he had fully recovered from the injury. Thankfully their expertise has ensured he is fighting fit for the European Championship.
