Hallen 1

Hallen arrived at The Everyone Active Stadium featuring former Town keeper Sam Burgess and skipper Kye Mountford, but both were unable to stop their former team-mates from triumphing by three goals to one.

Isaac Reid went close to opening the scoring in the 11th minute, but Mountford just managed to get his foot to the ball. Clevedon did go ahead three minutes later when Kane Ingram’s free-kick was touched home by Kaine Gazzard.

Clevedon’s dominance was rewarded when they doubled the lead on 20 minutes. Another swift passing move saw Tyler Ashmead play in Reid, who crossed for Dempsey to make the score 2-0.

Hallen came out for the second half strongly and the home side were hit with a sucker-punch on 56 minutes when Hallen got a goal back from a quick break.

Clevedon made the game safe in the 85th minute thanks to great work from their young substitute Lucas Vowles, who beat a number of players before passing to Dempsey to score the third.
