CLEVEDON booked their third semi-final place of the season after a comfortable victory over Division 1 rivals Hutton.

CLEVEDON booked their third semi-final place of the season after a comfortable victory over Division 1 rivals Hutton.

This was a solid performance with another clean sheet that found Nathan Price, Craig Manson and Paul Williams at their best in defence. Stand-in keeper Mark Jordan made two great reaction saves to keep the visitors out and dominated his area well.

James Stathers opened the scoring with a simple finish after good work from Nick Lee on the right wing found Dan Huxtable. His pass was miscued, catching the Hutton defence out. Lee again turned provider from a corner with Price being the grateful recipient when he fired home a bullet header.

The second half was fairly flat, but United had the lions share of possession and controlled the game well. Mike Banks added the third for Clevedon with a clean strike from a Max James’ cross.
