Swiss Valley Rangers Girls Under-12s enjoyed an emphatic 10-0 victory over Hanham.

Swiss Valley Rangers Girls Under-12s have moved into a different level of play this season, with a 10-0 victory over Hanham.

There were four goals from Nancy, two each from Cecily and Jasmine, plus a goal each from Maggie and Marta to put the icing on the cake.

Well done to the defensive players Shannon, Xara, Celia and Scarlet, who helped ensure the first clean sheet with support from the like of Ella, who did not get a goal herself, but who contributed all over the pitch. Scarlet was voted girl of the match by the team.

Portishead Town Under-14 girls welcomed Whitchurch Sports for their third Bristol Girls League game of the season.

It took just 14 minutes for Emily Edwards to open the scoring followed closely by a well-taken Keiana Jones goal. Edwards scored the final first half goal with an unstoppable shot from outside the area.

This saw Portishead go into the break 3-0 up and dominating the game with powerful runs and great crossing by Millie Rosenior creating many chances..

The second half started as the first ended with Portishead keeping Whitchurch camped in their own half. However, a 15 minute spell in the second half saw Portishead score seven more goals thanks to a third from Edwards to complete her hat-trick, three further goals from Jones and one apiece for Katherine Southern and Keira Howse.

This leaves Portishead sitting pretty at the top of the Bristol League with three wins out of three games and 27 goals scored and none conceded.
