Clevedon United Under-11 Girls enjoyed an emphatic victory over Keynsham Town.

Clevedon United Under-11 Girls won emphatically against Keynsham Town in a game of two halves.

The first-half was a quiet one for the Clevedon captain and goalkeeper Nancy, who did not have too much to do over the first 30-minute period.

Keynsham faced one-way traffic at their end with goals scored by Jasmine, assisted by Cecily and Ella and two super strikes from Xara supporting from the back.

The second half was a different affair with Keynsham coming out with a gung-ho approach. Maggie, Scarlet and Grace defended bravely with midfield support from Celia and Cecily, but were unable to stop three goals in 15 minutes from Keynsham.

Ella, who replaced Nancy in goal, stopped any further Keynsham goals with a string of fine saves. Clevedon were able to complete an 8-3 winning score line with four goals from Nancy before the final whistle.

Girl of the match went to Scarlet, who defended with some great tackling and cover play.

Portishead Panthers Under-10s, who are sponsored by Autolink Vehicle Solutions, were delighted with their latest win.

Two goals were scored by Amber Haskins, as well as a hat-trick from Abi Foxon. The girls have shown great progression throughout the season due to fantastic effort and team work.
