Clevedon Town Over-65s walking football team have reached the finals of the all England national events.

Clevedon Town Over-65s walking football team made history by beating Abbeymead Rovers from Gloucester 2-1 in the last 16 of the all England National Tournament.

For the past four seasons, Clevedon have been knocked out in the early stages. They now face five teams from Manchester, Newcastle, Wolverhampton, Norwich and Worthing in the finals in Cirencester on September 23.

The first half belonged to Abbeymead who went in at half-time with a 1-0 lead. Danny Ward, who sat the first half out, came on and scored almost immediately to level the scores. The game went into extra time and 73-year-old Lewis Ford hit the winner at the end.
