Clevedon United Under-16 girls started the season with victory against Pen Mill.

Clevedon United Under-16 girls’ team made a welcome winning start to their final year in junior football.

After controlling the first half 3-1, Clevedon traded goals with Penn Mill in an action-packed second half. The game eventually finished 7-5 to Clevedon.

The team created many chances and all squad members worked hard to earn the win. Next week the team is away to Yatton. After finishing runners-up in both the league and cup last season, the girls are keen to make a strong start to the season.

Squad: Yasmin, Belle, Emily W, Maisie R, Emily G, Becky, Alice, Maisie A-R, Kiera, Ellie, Emily N, Rosie and Amice.
