Wraxall Village Club held its first race of the season, with the birds flying back from the New Forest.

Wraxall Village Club held its first race of the season when the birds were liberated from Lyndhurst in the New Forest into a light north-west wind.

Portbury-based partners Jackie and Nick Stone had their birds in top form with four birds dropping together and taking 92 minutes to complete the 62-mile flight.

Thirteen members sent 286 birds: J & N Stone 1186 yards per minute (40.4 mph), 1177, 1176, 1133; R English 1120; R Whiteside 1118.
