CLEVEDON Athletic Club member Debbie Powell made her marathon debut in the Dubai Marathon recently.

Although the race started at 7am, the temperature was soon hotting up. Debbie clocked 3.17.57 and won the LV 40 category. She was 19th lady overall, a brilliant performance given that 14 of those who finished ahead of her came from Kenya or Ethiopia.
