Portishead ladies softball cricket team were awarded the team of the day at the Brislington Festival.

The newly-formed Portishead ladies softball cricket team played at the Brislington Festival arranged by both Somerset and Gloucestershire cricket boards.

Sixteen teams entered and Portishead played three matches. They lost to Wivy and then beat Keynsham and Frampton. Magic moments included a caught and bowled, and consecutive four and a six.

Portishead were awarded the team of the day award, their second in two festivals.

The ladies aged 14 and above will be playing in a new indoor winter festivals currently being organised and start with coaching from county coaches next season.
