Nailsea Under-15s romped to a 81-run victory over Clevedon.
NAILSEA Under-15s hosted a young and enthusiastic Clevedon side after a number of postponements due to the weather at The Grove and won by 81 runs.
Batting first, Nailsea saw Zach Rigby in great form with 32 retired, then George King (24), Thomas Cattermole (20) and captain Harry Tidball (17 not out) saw Nailsea to 126-3.
Clevedon captain and opening bowler Joe Childs took 2-14, dismissing district player Robbie Riddicks and King.
Clevedon lost early wickets batting against the pace of Nicky Bridal (2-9) and the spin of Sam Richards and Noah Pring, who both took wickets. Oll Wilson batted patiently for Clevedon and top scored, but Harry Davies was the stand-out Nailsea bowler, taking 4-10 as Clevedon finished on 45-8.
Nailsea play Uphill Castle in the quarter-final.
