The latest class of Portishead Running Club Couch To 5k runners graduated at the Burnham parkrun.

On Saturday, the latest class of Portishead Running Club Couch To 5k runners graduated at the Burnham parkrun.

On the other side of the Bristol Channel, but in equally challenging weather, Jane Roscoe crushed the 28-mile Gower Trail Marathon in 5.33 to claim 49th place. The following day, Jane was amongst the Portishead contingent that tackled the 10-mile mudfest that is the Sodbury Slog, completing it in 1.50.56, alongside Barry Hall (1.25.13) and Caroline Holt (1.58.07).

Richard Nuell came back from injury to take part in the final Shakespeare Raceway 10k in Warwickshire, crossing the line in 1.13. Mike Martin tackled the Over The Hills 12k, coming home in 127th place in a time of 1.07.48.
