Clevedon Pilot Gig Club crews improved their positions from last year at the Caradon Three Rivers endurance race.

Clevedon Pilot Gig Club had another great outing last weekend with both A and B crews participating in Caradon’s Three Rivers endurance race.

The Three Rivers at Caradon in Saltash is a very popular race on the circuit, with its unique figure of eight course which sees both bow side and stroke side rowers navigating buoy turns.

The race is approximately five miles in length and is challenging for even the best of rowers. It took the crews in the region of an hour to complete, gruelling for even the most experienced crews.

Clevedon A crew came 18th this year overall, which is a fantastic improvement from last year when they came 22nd. Both crews demonstrating that Clevedon are a force to be reckoned with.

Within their retrospective heats, ladies A won heat five and men’s A came third in heat four. The Clevedon B crew came 43rd overall, also seeing a huge improvement from last year when they were 53rd.

These results are great for the club and show that we are growing from strength to strength year on year.

With only seven weeks until the World Pilot Gig Championships, Clevedon are now training hard to get the best results possible.
