Portishead British Legion Ladies Bowls Club enjoyed success in the final of the Fear Cup, defeating holders St Andrews.

Portishead British Legion Ladies team are pictured after winning the county Fear Cup final. The ladies defeated holders St Andrews, winning on all three rinks and by 19 shots overall.

Team: Jan Birth, Sue Rogers, Lou Bridle, Marilyn Gozna, Pat Groves, Margaret Southey, Sue Davies, Charmian Pearce, Sue Dando, Helen Naunton, Paddy Spencer and Rose Hellens. Reserve was Nicki Wells.

Three of the ladies also won the benevolent triples. Jan Birth, Paddy Spencer and Marilyn Gozna combined to beat Clevedon Prom by three shots.
