OVER 25 years since it first formed Wrington Drama Group is still going strong. Since it was founded in 1981, the group has steadily grown and now has over 70 members.
The group holds regular rehearsals and meetings and performs around two shows a year. Recent productions include Annie the Musical and Lord Arthur Saddle Crime, with the age of those involved ranging from nine to 70.
Future productions will include Dobin of Sherwood, based on the well known story of Robin Hood. Auditions for the play will start in September and people of all ages are welcome to show off their acting abilities and go along to the rehearsals.
However, Wrington Drama Group is not just for blossoming actors and actresses, it is always on the look-out for people to get involved in other activities including costume making, set constructing, make-up, hairdressing and working behind the scenes.
The drama group is also searching for people to get involved with the technical side of show production and would like to hear from any lighting and sound engineers.
Wrington Drama Group prides itself on being an integral part of the local community and everyone is welcome to join.
