Members of the branch raise more than 30,000 each year for good causes and locally the Lions have given more than 200million to charity since 1968.
Throughout the year volunteers are busy organising events like raffles and black tie dinners and they can be seen rattling buckets during Novembers carnival and again during the festive season.
The club also has a regular social programme to run alongside fund-raising activities. There have been weekends away, a safari supper and plenty of day trips to keep members busy, as well as annual ceremonies like the one where the incoming president officially takes over in July and the Charter Anniversary in September.
Every month the group receives requests for money to help solve problems and create new facilities in the community.
Four years ago Weston Lions Club joined forces with other Lions clubs across North Somerset to raise money for Childrens Hospice South West. Together they recently presented a cheque for more than 84,000 to the charity.
The group is also involved with projects like Youth Exchange, Peace Poster and Young Ambassador and every year volunteers entertain children from Chernobyl for a day and make up parcels of clothes for them to take home.
Members also get the opportunity to attend conventions worldwide. This year two volunteers and their partners went to the international convention in Boston and got to meet up with old friends and make new ones at the same time.
The club is looking forward to a busy year in 2007. In May it is the groups turn to play host to its twin club from Brittany. So in the next few months members will be busy organising plenty of fun activities to take part in and events to raise even more cash for worthwhile causes.
