Weston Digital Camera Club was set up last year to provide people with an interest in taking photos with an opportunity to trade tips and images with each other.
The club recently held its annual Photographer of the Year competition.
Its first winner, Chris Parrat, was featured in last weeks Weston & Somerset Mercury, after beating 16 other entries to the prize.
Organiser Roz de-Layen Vian said: We are always on the lookout for new members and we are not snobby about what kit people have. Everything from a digital single lens reflex camera to a mobile phone is welcome.
The group also provides its members with training sessions on using imaging software, including Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro and Lightroom.
These packages enable users to create better images using a computer.
Sessions are also held on traditional aspects of photography such as exposure, aperture, shutter speeds and lenses.
The club now has a permanent home at Banwell Village Hall after holding its early meetings in a pub skittle alley. Regular competitions are also held for its 26 members.
A one-week trip to Scotland is planned for later this year and there are also more regular trips around the South West providing members with opportunities to shoot many of the regions rich wildlife.
