All ages and abilities are catered for - so if you want to find a new sport with a group of like-minded enthusiasts this could be the one for you.
With a membership reaching 140, Weston Athletic Club is more like a giant social circle.
Alongside the weekly training runs and highly successful races, the group organises activities including barbecues, camping weekends and adventure days.
Members dont need to worry that other runners will be miles ahead or behind them. Training sessions are split into groups according to ability so nobody feels left out in the cold.
The club runs a number of more famous races during the year, including the Hangover 10k in January, The Beacon Batch in June, The Mendip Muddle in October, The Proms series from September - May and The Christmas Cracker in December.
Through the proceeds from these events, donations have been made to a number of charities including Weston Hospicecare and the RNLI.
Weston Athletic Club is a thriving group but always welcomes new members.
If you would like to experience what it is like to exercise and join a new social circle, log onto www.westonac.co.uk or pop along to one of the training sessions.
