The Cameroon Club is a collective of people from the African state who have now made their home in Weston.
The group was formed less than a year ago but has already begun to make a cultural contribution to the town by liaising with other ethnic minority groups such as members of Indian and Phillipino communities.
It has 28 registered members, but more often attend monthly meetings on the 16th of every month.
Each member of the group has the chance to host meetings and provide native food such as yams and plantains.
There is no annual fee, but members are asked to pay 5 to the host who will then provide a traditional buffet and arrange entertainment for the evening with traditional singing and dancing.
Walter Munde, the groups vice-president, said: We chose to meet at each others houses because it helps us as a group to make sure members are okay. The group is important to us as it allows us to reconnect with our native culture.
The group is not exclusively for Cameroonians and children are welcome.
Walter, aged 38, who works part-time at the Russell Haven Nursing Home in Clevedon Road, Weston, said: We are delighted to share our cuisine and customs with our host community of Weston as we believe it is important for us to be inclusive.
As more people join we hope they bring new ideas as to how we can celebrate our culture.
The group is planning a trip for members to Bristol Zoo in the summer but dates are yet to be confirmed.
The next meeting will take place on April 16 at 66a Devonshire Road, Weston, at 9pm.
