On the weekend that the clocks went back an hour, a flavour of the autumn season was captured in Yatton.

The village hall was the place to be on Saturday afternoon as it held Yatton Horticultural Society’s latest seasonal show.

There was, as ever, a multitude of classes for exhibitors to compete in, with the best displays winning certificates and trophies.

The floral displays are often the most colourful and eye-catching exhibits, but the show features a lot more than flowers.

Produce, including prize-winning parsnips and leeks by Dennis Knowles, was on show, as was home-brewed alcohol.
