People are being invited to boost their mental health by joining in with some events to mark World Mental Health Day.

The Dawn Til Dusk celebration, which will take place on October 10, includes an early morning dip in Clevedon’s Marine Lake, mindfulness sessions, a lantern parade and a history on mental health seminar.

The event is organised by the Warriors of Wellbeing, which is a collaboration between the Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust, North Somerset Council and local charities.

The events aim to raise awareness of mental health conditions and encourage anybody who is struggling with an illness to seek support.

The mindfullness session will be held on Clevedon Pier at 6.15pm and the lantern parade will start at 6.45pm from the pier to the Salthouse Pub – led by The Ambling Band.

Psychiatrist Tiff Earle will then lead the seminar at 8pm on the same day.
